Wayne Morse has been a hero of mine since high school. My first Wayne Morse items were a poster from his 1968 campaign and a small red button from his 1972 campaign given to me by my aunt that she used campaigning for Morse in high school. Since then the collection has grown to hundreds of items from buttons, stickers, posters, photos, and even personal mementos owned by Senator Morse. During college I wrote a lengthy paper about his long forgotten 1960 presidential campaign against future President John F. Kennedy. Through the years I have had the opportunity to meet or chat with many former aides, workers, volunteers and public officials that worked with Morse.
